A magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, Ms. Maser began practicing law in Washington D.C. in 1992. After gaining litigation experience and training in trademark law at Steptoe & Johnson, Ms. Maser moved to the IP boutique Banner & Witcoff to handle the trademark work for companies in the sports world such as Nike, later moving with those clients to Shaw Pittman in 1997. Ms. Maser’s experience spans the entire trademark process from searching and clearance to adoption strategies.  She has expertise in prosecution, both domestically and internationally, as well as enforcement actions against infringers.  Ms. Maser has also successfully represented clients against infringement claims by third parties.

In 1999, Ms. Maser moved to Colorado where she began a 20-year career with the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).  During her tenure with the USOC, Ms. Maser developed a premier brand protection program that is held out as the “gold standard” among other National Olympic Committees.  Through ten Olympic Games, Ms. Maser protected the USOC’s intellectual property and fought ambush marketing with strong, diligent trademark enforcement efforts.  Ms. Maser navigated the challenges of enforcing her client’s rights while seeking to preserve consumer goodwill, a feat valuable to any public facing brand in today’s social media environment.  For nearly two decades, she provided counsel to the USOC’s internal teams for fundraising, sponsor-related marketing, NGB (national governing body) marketing, social media and digital content.

Ms. Maser’s capabilities also include a broad range of skills in athlete marketing and publicity rights.  She has the experience to represent athletes or the league, brand, or sports governing body across from the athlete.

After 20 years with the USOC, Ms. Maser re-entered private practice with the goal of providing exceptional legal services to smaller businesses at a reasonable cost.
